King Minos was a mythical king of Crete, he was believed to be the sun of Zeus and Europa. Minos was raised by King Asterion who gave Minos his throne when he died. Minos then Banished his 2 brothers Sarpedon and Rhadamanthys. according to mythology, Minos asked Poseidon for help considering a sovereignty issue, for which Poseidon sent a great white bull for a sacrifice which rose up out of the sea which confirmed that minos was the true king. But when Minos saw the magnificent beast he refused to sacrifice it, so he replaced it with a different bull. Poseidon heard of this and was angry, so he gave Minos' wife Pasiphae an ucontrollable lust for the bull. Pasiphae felt so much lust for this animal that she wanted to mate with it, so she enlisted the help of a craftsman/inventor named Daedalus to build hollow wooden cow which she hid inside of. the bull mouted the wooden cow and as a result Pasiphae concieved its child which was a half man half bull creature, which became known as the Minotaur or the bull of Minos.

Minerva was the daughter of Jupiter (Zeus) and was the Roman Goddess of wisdom, crafts, civilization, strategy and defensive war.
The Name Minerva was not her original name, Minerva was actually a Goddes that was "stolen" from the Greeks when Rome invaded and took over Greece. Her original name was Athena, and her story is just as strange as most of the gods. This is her story according to Greek Mythology:
Zeus had intercourse with Metis, who turned into many shapes in order to avoid his embraces. when she was with child, Zeus, taking time by forelock, swallowed her, because earth said that, after giving bith to the maiden who was then ion her wormb, metis would bear a son who should be the lord of heaven. from fear of that zeus swallowed her. and when the time came for the birth to take place, Ptometheus or, as others say, Haphaestus, smote the head of zeus with an axe, and Athena (Minerva), fully armedleaped from the top of his head at the river Triton.
